“Qué bien nos cae esta noticia justo cuando cumplimos 15 años de Rock al parque, evento que ha sido una plataforma indiscutible para dar a conocer el talento local tanto a nivel nacional como internacional; de igual manera los Premios MTV serán también una ventana para nuestros músicos y para todo el potencial que tiene la ciudad en términos musicales y culturales” señaló la funcionaria.
Esta es una oportunidad inigualable para la ciudad: a Bogotá la verán 575 millones de hogares en el mundo en 161 territorios no sólo durante la entrega de los Premios, sino a través de una serie de presentaciones íntimas de la ciudad y sus espacios, hecha por artistas reconocidos, presentadores de MTV y músicos que recorrerán con las cámaras las calles y rincones de Bogotá para mostrar una imagen fresca, renovada y positiva de la ciudad y del país.
MTV es el Show #1 de Televisión Paga entre jóvenes 12-24 años de edad en toda Latinoamérica y en los últimos años ha sido el show #1 en rating entre los colombianos de 12-24 de edad.
La designación de Bogotá como una de las sedes de Los Premios MTV 2009 se suma a otros importantes logros como Bogotá Capital Mundial del Libro 2007, Bogotá Capital Iberoamericana de la Cultura 2007, el Premio León de Oro en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia en el año 2006; así como a una sólida cadena de efectivas gestiones que hacen hoy de Bogotá un marco de referencia obligado en el continente y atraen al país y a la ciudad la inversión extranjera.
Bogotá está empezando a destacarse como un cluster cultural. Esta realidad es palpable no sólo con la selección como sede de los Premios MTV o con la apertura de sus oficinas en Colombia; sino también porque el Distrito empieza a ser señalado como destino de eventos masivos y de impacto como los rodajes de las series Mental y Tiempo Final o la novela que rodará Nickelodeon Latinoamérica en coproducción con Sony llamada “Isa Tqm” ( Te quiero mucho). El gran show se emitirá en vivo el jueves 15 de octubre por MTV Latinoamérica y por MTV Tr3s en Estados Unidos. Adicionalmente, Los Premios MTV 2009 también se emitirán por diversos MTVs alrededor del mundo y por selectos canales de aire en toda Latinoamérica. Los detalles de la ceremonia de los premios MTV Latinos 2009 en Bogotá, se anunciarán próximamente. COLOMBIA EN LOS MTV De 111 premios totales otorgados a artistas latinos desde el 2002, 24 (22%) han sido entregados a artistas Colombianos(segundo país más premiado después de México). Shakira ha sido la artista más premiada en la historia de LosPremios MTV con 11 lenguas, seguida por 10 de Juanes.
